ILEX PUBLIC SCHOOL KARIYATPUR : the following points relate to admission policy-:

1. We avail the facilities of the school to the children of economically poorer classes.
2. The school admits all children irrespective of caste , freedom, language, social status or place of origin.
3. The school will admit those who will respond to the value it stands for, and who will preserve and benefit from the education offered here .
4. Applications for all admission is to be made on the prescribed from and according to the schedule announced by the school.
5. Every candidate for the admission must be introduced in person to principal by one responsible for the child.
6. Admission for all classes in the school is decided by testing, and the suitability of the candidate for the school.
7. Any pressure on the school authorities for granting admission will disqualify the candidate.
8. The parents who wish their children to be admitted in this school are expected to have an understanding of and the ability and willingness to cooperate in the type of education offered here.

Documents required at the time of admission are :

1. A copy of birth certificate in case of Pre-Nursery and Nursery classes.
2. Original Transfer Certificate of the previous school in case of class I onward.
3. Two Passport size photographs of child, mother & father.
4. Any other document depending upon the specific nature of the admission case.

Attendance / Leave / Absence

1. 85 % of attendance is required of the student in order to appear for any of the examinations held in the school.
2. No leave of absence will be given without prior written permission.
3. No one who has been absent without prior permission may be admitted to the class without the permission of Principal .
4. Reason of the absence must be written in the school diary and signed by the guardian before being admitted to the class without the permission of Principal.
5. Application for the leave must reach the Principal.
6. Guardians need to meet the Principal in person if leave of absence for more than three days is to be sanctioned.
7. Medical certificate is to be submitted if one is absent due to illness.
8. Students who absent themselves with or without prior leave shall not enter the school premises one the day of absence without the prior permission of Principal.
9. Every student must be present at the reopening of the school after the vacation. Those failing to do will have to abide by School code of conduct.
10 . Student absenting continuously for 15 days without a written permission will be considered as has left the school and his / her name will be struck off the roll. Re-admission will be granted if the seats are available after paying the dues .

School Examination / Unit test

1. The academic year is divided into two semesters ( April - September , October - March) and examinations are held at the end of each semester .
2. Final result is decided by adding 20 % marks of the Unit tests , 40 % marks first and second semester examination .
3. Student who remain absent in any of the examination and Unit tests should not expect to be re-examination and will be awarded zero in that subject.
4. The average marks obtained by the student in the academic year will be calculated taking into account the number of examination held and not those in which he has appeared.
5. Any student using unfair means in any test or examination will be given zero in all the subjects .
6. The student who remained absent before the examination without the prior permission will have to come to school during the preparation leave between the examination. Those who fail to do so will have to abide by the Policy set by the school.
7. Students who are unable to appear for the exam owing to illness shall submit the application before the examination together with the concerned doctor's prescription , such application will not be accepted after the completion of exam .
8. The result of the examination is communicated to parents-teaching meeting .

Promotion

Promotion are decided by the Principal in consultation with the staff , it is based on the following criteria :
1. Marks obtained in unit test, first, second semester and examinations 40 % marks first and second semester examinations.
2. They must have minimum 40 % marks in each subject.
3. Minimum attendance required for promotion is 85 % .
4. Active participation in Co-Curricular and Extra Curricular Activities.
5. Minimum 40 % marks or not less than ' D ' grade in Monday academic subjects .
6. Overall performance in the academic year ( homework, project , assignment , composition , non academic activities, responsibility etc ) . The result declared is final and cannot be reconsidered. The student who has failed twice in a class will not be permitted to continue his / her studies in the school.

Discipline

Admission to ILEX Public School implies one the part of the pupil and parents a willingness to comply with the rules and regulations of the school. Every studentsof this school is expected to conduct himself / herself with dignity and decorum at all times and in all places. Punctuality , neatness , uniformity in dress are insisted upon while courtesy , consideration for the others , responsibility , respect , dignity of labour and cooperatives spirits are encouraged. Students must abide by the COC of school.
